If you use the browser extension workflow, the extension may pass JSON content and the source page URL into the JSON Visualiser extension page so the content can be displayed and explored.

Page or Source URL

When JSON is loaded through the extension workflow, JSON Visualiser may store the source URL as metadata associated with the current document in the browser. This is used to identify where the loaded JSON came from inside the current workspace.

Browser Storage Data

JSON Visualiser uses browser storage to persist workspace state and improve continuity between refreshes and tabs. Depending on the feature being used, this may include:
